Taylor Swift to Present 2016 Entertainer of the Year CMA Award
Beyonce won't be the only popstar making a guest appearance at the 2016 CMA Awards: Right before a commercial break in the second hour of the awards show -- and a brief performance with the Oak Ridge Boys on their hit "Elvira" -- Brad Paisley shared that Taylor Swift would be presenting the award for Entertainer of the Year.
Swift, who got her start in country music, has won the Entertainer of the Year award herself twice before, in 2009 and 2011; overall, she has won 11 CMA Awards. Her last wins came in 2013, when she won Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year, both for "Highway Don't Care," her song with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban; she was also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year in 2014. Swift's former collaboration partner Urban is nominated for Entertainer of the Year in 2016, along with Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Carrie Underwood.
Swift's self-titled debut album was released 10 years ago, on Oct. 24, 2006. Although she has made the move to pop music, as of her 2014 album 1989, it was recently revealed that the superstar wrote Little Big Town's newest single, "Better Man."
