The Alabama Crimson Tide entered the 30th SEC Championship Game as an underdog for the first time in six years. Its safe to say the Tide responded well to the underdog role as Alabama rolled to a 41-24 over the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs.
Alabama junior wide receiver John Metchie III exits the SEC Championship Game after suffering a leg injury in the first half. Metchie was having himself quite a game prior to the injury, he hauled in six receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown on eight targets.

Top ranked Florida and the fourth ranked LSU Tigers both came up short, finishing third and second respectively and head coach Dana Duckworth to claim the program's 10th SEC Championship.

Alabama defeated three teams in three days to ensure its championship, the Tide was able to win both the regular season and the tournament championship in a historic season.
