The former Alabama guard has signed another deal with the Boston Celtics.

Davison will continue to try to make his mark in the Summer League as the Boston Celtics take on the Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m. CT in Las Vegas.

The Letohatchee-native was named SEC Freshman of the Week twice during the 2021-22 and earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.

The 6-foot-3 guard was selected to the 2022 SEC All-Freshman team and averaged 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

Alabama ends the 2021-22 season on a sour note, looks to improve next season.

Alabama will look to avenge their last defeat to Mississippi State last month in a rematch Wednesday evening at Coleman Coliseum.

Alabama's men's basketball team had a successful week, defeating Ole Miss and Arkansas for back-to-back SEC victories. The Tide was aided by two strong performances from 5-star freshman guard JD Davison. His strong effort earned him SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

Alabama overcame egregious turnovers and a late surge from Arkansas, but a strong finish under the basket hauled the Tide to victory.

The Alabama Crimson Tide (15-9, 5-6) went on the road on Wednesday night and had its best shooting night in weeks defeating the Ole Miss Rebels 97-83 to stop a three-game conference skid.
