GET READY, ALABAMA As heard on the Steve & DC Show, 95.3 The Bear....did you know there can be 450 insect parts and nine rodent hairs in every 16 oz. box of spaghetti? They claim that it's not possible to remove all creatures that might get a ride along the food processing chain, but the US Food and Drug Administration calls them "food defects" and has "standards" to keep them to a minimum.

Great news for the under-caffeinated or those who just love a good latte: PJ's Coffee will open for business this Monday, March 8.

Heritage House Coffee & Tea has been serving us for over 20 years. I became antiquated with the quirky little (really not so little) coffee shop over the last few months and visit now pretty frequently. I have tried many of the specialty coffees. They all are remarkable. Here are my two favorites.
