Alabama’s Best Barbecue Joint in 2024 According to Southern Living

Southern Living released its 2024 edition of “The South's Best Barbecue Joint In Every State.” The spot recognized for Alabama is known for its famous Alabama White Sauce.

This hot spot for BBQ is Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q - Decatur, Alabama.

“Loyal customers keep going back to Big Bob Gibson’s for the pork, the ribs, and especially for the chicken, all of which are cooked on old school wood-fired brick pits,” said Southern Living.

As far as the Alabama white sauce, it is a “mayonnaise-based concoction invented by Big Bob himself a century or so ago.”
