This weekend, Alabama Softball will open the 2022 season on the road at the Candrea Classic – hosted by Arizona – in Tucson, Arizona. "Team 26" will play four games during the three-day trip and open its home schedule on the following weekend.

The Tide's first game of the year comes against Southern Utah at 2:00 p.m. CST on Friday in Arizona's Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium. Alabama will play a Pac-12 doubleheader on Saturday consisting of a 4:30 p.m. matchup with Oregon State and a 7:00 p.m. nightcap with host team No. 9/11 Arizona. A 12:30 p.m. Sunday game with New Mexico rounds out the weekend prior to the Tide returning to Tuscaloosa for home play the following week.

On Friday, February 18, Alabama welcomes fans back to Rhoads Stadium with the Easton Bama Bash – a five-game, three-day tournament – featuring Evansville, Virginia Tech and Middle Tennessee.

Alabama returns two important seniors from Team 25 in senior NFCA Pitcher of the Year Montana Fouts and three-time NFCA all-American graduate infielder Kaylee Tow. The transfer class features two seniors looking to make a positive impact, including former Ohio State infielder Ashley Prange and former Tennessee catcher Ally Shipman.
