A bill proposed in the Alabama House of Representatives yesterday would offer medical marijuana as a legal treatment for patients within the state.

al.com reports Huntsville's Republican Representative Mike Ball introduced HB 243 to legalize medical marijuana. Ball, a former ABI agent, also sponsored bills to legalize CBD usage. If passed, the bill would exempt patients with a medical marijuana card from possession charges.

Do you think that the state should legalize medical marijuana?

I think it's time Alabama moved into this century by offering this treatment to patients. It's so much safer than relying on opiates and gives patients a natural option to treat their pain. Honestly, I'd just legalize marijuana like Colorado or California and tax the you-know-what out of it to help fund our education system or pave our hot mess of an interstate system.
