This year, if a team has a COVID-19 issue they would have to forfeit the upcoming game and give themselves a loss in the conference standings.

If both teams have issues, then they both will have to forfeit.

If a school had a financial loss from a canceled game that they were eligible to play in, they may be submitted for consideration for reimbursement approval from the SEC Executive Committee.

This rule is designed to encourage not only players but viewers to get vaccinated and to be careful.
