Scott Shepherd’s Flashback Friday Song: July 8th

From Brooks & Dunn's 1996 Album "Borderline" came a #1 song for the powerhouse duo that was originally written and recorded  in 1973. B. W. Stevenson co-wrote and recorded "My Maria" in August of '73 and release it as a single. It reached #9 on the pop-charts for Stevenson.

Brooks & Dunn took the song to  #1 in '96 and won the 1997 Grammy for Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Ronnie Dunn had on of the strongest voices of the 90's in my opinion.
