The League of Women of Voters of Alabama announced that it will not be hosting a televised Senatorial Candidate Debate after Roy Moore declined to participate because he wasn't interested in appearing on stage with "the other candidate."

The debate, which is hosted by the bipartisan organization, has long been televised on Alabama Public Television. Democratic Candidate Doug Jones had expressed an interest in participating in the forum; however, it cannot be held with only one candidate in attendance.
