NWS Birmingham AL Issues a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Bibb AL, Fayette AL, Greene AL, Hale AL, Lamar AL, Marengo AL, Marion AL, Perry AL, Pickens AL, Sumter AL, Tuscaloosa AL, Walker AL, Winston AL IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham reports "68 mph gust at the Tuscaloosa Airport."

At 2:49 p.m. the NWS Birmingham AL Cancels the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Greene AL.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT MARION AND NORTHEASTERN LAMAR COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM CDT...

At 239 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles east of New Salem to Gu-
Win. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Hamilton, Winfield, Guin, Hackleburg, Brilliant, Glen Allen, Gu-
Win, Weston, Brinn, Lake Buttahatchee, Bear Creek, Twin, Tucker,
Henson Springs, Rankin Fite Airport, Upper Bear Creek Reservoir,

Movement was east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Marion Junction, Dannelly Reservoir, Perry County Correctional
