The best time to prepare for severe weather is when conditions are nice and quiet.
Severe Weather Potential Early Next Week
The Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa weather center is monitoring a system that could impact our area Monday night through Tuesday morning.
As this weather system moves northeast across our area the National Weather Service in Birmingham believes that it will be supportive for some strong to severe thunderstorms.
Also, this system could usher in some beneficial rain amounts for our area.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that “models continue to suggest there could be sufficient instability for strong to severe thunderstorms across parts of AL/MS, especially in the Monday night/early Tuesday time frame.”
We are several days away from this possible severe weather threat. As conditions change this could impact the weather outlook and severe weather potential. The Townsquare Media team will continue to monitor and publish necessary updates to keep you informed.
