Miranda Lambert will be tapping into her Texas roots in April when she takes the stage for an episode of the iconic Austin City Limits' upcoming 43rd season. The artist is taping the April 19 show, and it will be her second appearance on the legendary program.

Back in 2011, the Lindale, Texas native performed “Gunpowder and Lead” — her first country Top 10 hit — as well as “Baggage Claim” and “Kerosene” on the show. She also brought out the ladies of Pistol Annies — then newly formed — to back her up on “Hell on Heels.” This year’s performance is in support of her most recent record, The Weight of These Wings, so we venture to guess she will be playing songs from the double album.

Fans can score tickets to the taping in a giveaway held a week prior to the event. To stay in the loop, check out the program's website.

Miranda Lambert Has Three Songs on the Songs of the Century List

Austin City Limits began in 1974, featuring Willie Nelson as its first guest. The show was created to celebrate the music of Texas and has since evolved to feature a variety of genres, inspiring an annual music festival by the same name that also brings together a diverse group of artists.

Lambert is currently on the road on her Highway Vagabond Tour and recently released the music video for her irreverently charming tune, “We Should Be Friends.” She was nominated for two Grammys this year, with her single “Vice” up for both Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. Miranda Lambert tickets always guarantee her fans some of the hottest shows in country music.
