
Marginal Risk of Severe Storms Continues Across Alabama
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flood Advisory until 4 p.m. for Bibb and Tuscaloosa counties.
The potential hazards will be water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
This alert has expired. The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Special Weather Statement for East Central Tuscaloosa through 2:15 p.m.
Be aware of wind gusts up to 40 mph and half-inch hail.

Earlier today, portions of Alabama experienced very strong winds and hail.

The Townsquare Media Weather Center is monitoring the potential for a round 2 of storms this afternoon into this evening.
“A few additional storms will form in scattered spots this afternoon and early tonight, and where they do form, they could be strong,” said James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist. “But, like yesterday, most of the afternoon will be dry.”

The Storm Prediction Center has most of Alabama under a “Marginal Risk” for severe weather. This includes all of West Alabama and the counties under the Townsquare Media Coverage Area of Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Walker.
Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware and heed any weather messages. Threats include damaging winds up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail.
