Malachi Moore unveiled some fresh new ink that shows his commitment to the University of Alabama. The tattoo has the state of Alabama with the Crimson A and pays homage to his hometown of Birmingham and the other has his No. 13.

Moore came to Tuscaloosa as four-star recruit and rated as the No. 8 safety and the No. 3 prospect in the state of Alabama according to 247Sports. As a senior at Hewitt-Trussville High School, he registered totaled 83 total tackles, five tackles for loss and four interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He participated in Nike's "The Opening" and was selected to play in the All-American Bowl.

The Alabama native is coming off a stellar freshman campaign in 2020. He recorded 44 tackles, four tackles for loss, six pass breakups, two quarterback pressures, one forced fumble and led the team in interceptions with three. He earned second team All-SEC and Freshman All-American honors.

Despite not having a spring practice, Moore was still able to secure the starting nickel position on Alabama's defense. He had to learn the system over Zoom and his vast knowledge caught the attention of coach Saban early.

His play on the field drew a lot of comparisons to former Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick was a two-time All-American and won the Jim Thorpe Award in 2017.

Moore returns in 2021 as one of the top sophomores in the country and a part of possibly the best secondary in all of college football.
