Look Back at the 5th Annual Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge [PHOTOS]
Five years of running and eating doughnuts and the Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge just keeps growing!
This past Saturday saw the race sell out with 800 entries! Runner and doughnut lovers took over Government Plaza for an exciting, yearly event that is as much intriguing to the bystander as it is fun for the veterans and newcomers.
If you signed up as a “Challenger” your day started with a one mile run followed by the challenge of trying to get 12 sugary Krispy Kreme doughnuts into your stomach and then laboring as your feet hit the pavement for another one mile run.
You did not have to eat any doughnuts if you felt you couldn't so quite a few people accepted that challenge and put in their two miles for the day.
The Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge benefits Big Brothers Big Sister of West Alabama who are changing the lives of 400 children annually through motivated leadership and quality mentoring.
Here’s a look at this year’s fun!
We've had employees participate in the race every year and here's a special GoPro video of what it's like to run and eat one dozen Krispy Kreme Doughnuts!
