Have you heard abut the new restaurant hitting the strip in Tuscaloosa? It looks like it may be open just in time for kickoff this season.

If you're familiar with former NBA player & Crimson Tide legend Jamychal Green, get ready to associate his name with some greats food in Tuscaloosa. According to an Instagram post, Green will open a J.R. Crickets restaurant in Tuscaloosa on the strip.

 

J.R. Crickets will replace the We Dat's cajun restaurant that was open in the same location back in 2023. 

According to the post on Instagram, 1130 University Blvd, Suite B, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 will be the location of Tuscaloosa's new J.R. Crickets location and the menu will feature  20+ signature wing sauces, juicy burgers, seafood, and Southern favorites and more.

There is no available information on an official opening date for this new restaurant. Right now, there are signs posted on the windows of the building with the message "Coming soon."
