Jay Graham Comments on Resignation From Alabama Staff
Former Alabama tight ends and special teams coach Jay Graham surprisingly resigned from his position in the program just days into spring practice. Graham's tenure was a short one as the coach was one of the newly hired coaches in this offseason, replacing Jeff Banks who held the same positions.
The university already made a short comment on the matter and now Graham has released his own statement on social media.
Graham will step away from football to address his mental health as this past year has been difficult for everyone. He has been involved in high-level football as a player or a coach nearly every year for the past 28 seasons.
Nick Saban will now look to replace Graham at a difficult time during the coaching cycle as most coaches have settled into jobs for the upcoming season. However, the allure of coaching with Saban at Alabama will be difficult to pass up.
