Jason Aldean Calls on Breast Cancer Survivors to Be His Roadies
Jason Aldean is offering breast cancer survivors the chance to be his “Honorary Roadies.”
The ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee is once again partnering with breast cancer organization Susan G. Komen to honor survivors in a special way throughout his upcoming They Don’t Know Tour, which launches April 27 in Ohio.
Through Komen, Aldean and his team will select and surprise survivors nominated through essay submissions with concert tickets, VIP backstage access and a private meet-and-greet at the concert of their choice.
"As long as I’m doing what I’m doing, I will do what I can to fight breast cancer and celebrate its survivors," Aldean explains in a press release. "We all know someone whose life has been changed by this terrible disease, so we’re going to treat as many survivors as we can this year with a night out to take their minds off everything else."
Aldean has supported breast cancer research and programs since 2004, with the launch of his annual benefit performance Concert for the Cure; that concert series has raised over $3 million benefitting Susan G. Komen. The country superstar cites losing a close friend to the disease as one of the main reasons he spends his time and resources on this particular cause.
To enter the VIP experience & meet-and-greet contest, visit komen.org/JasonAldean.
To be considered for the experience, fans must submit stories of the breast cancer survivors they are nominating. All submissions must be sent at least 10 days prior to the selected concert date.
Aldean’s They Don’t Know Tour includes special guests Chris Young, Kane Brown and Dee Jay Silver.
