James Spann: Alabama Faces ‘Dangerous Severe Thunderstorm-Tornado Outbreak’
There is a concern of a severe weather outbreak across the Midwest, South, and East, including Alabama. The Townsquare Media Weather Center has been tracking the developments to bring you the latest information.

The Weather Channel said, “Strong, long-tracked tornadoes, widespread damaging winds, large hail and flash flooding are all threats this dangerous bout of severe weather could produce.”
James Spann, ABC 33/40 and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said they “don't use strong wording often, but in this case, it is needed. The threat is real, and the event poses a dangerous situation for all of Alabama and most of the southern U.S.”
