Second year Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts led his team to a comeback victory over the Washington Football Team on Sunday but he may have made his best play after the contest was over.

Hurts, with the win and a subsequent Minnesota Vikings loss, helped the Eagles clinch a 2022 playoff birth. As he walked off the field he was heralded by the rowdy Philadelphia fans who made the trip to FedEx Field.

The Eagles fans, desperate for a high-five or a handshake, leaned over the guard railing to congratulate Hurts when suddenly the railing broke and fans tumbled down into the tunnel.

Hurts displayed the same supreme quickness and awareness off the field as he's shown on it by sidestepping away from the falling fans. He then put his top-notch personality on display by stopping to help the Eagles faithful.

Not only did the former Crimson Tide quarterback stop to help everyone up he also paused to take selfies with everyone.

Hurts could have walked right past the fans who had fallen or could have been fearful in a situation that could have been dangerous but instead he showed the poise that we have all come to know and love out of Hurts.

The Eagles haven't been to the NFL Playoffs since the 2019 season but Hurts and company have officially qualified for a Wild Card seed in the 2021 playoffs thanks to his strong season.

In 15 starts this season Hurts has passed for 3,144 yards with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He's also been dangerous as a runner this season accounting for 784 yards rushing and 10 more touchdowns.

The Eagles will conclude the 2021 NFL regular season with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, January 8 at 7:15 p.m.
