Alabama Forestry Commission Says 200-Acre Wildfire Contained in Tuscaloosa County
Two wildfires in our coverage area are 100 percent contained, the Alabama Forestry Commission reported on Wednesday.
In an afternoon Facebook post, the agency said they have been monitoring three large wildfires.
The largest, just over 200 acres, was in Tuscaloosa County. Another 116-acre wildfire was burning in nearby Lamar County, and a 105-acre fire was reported in Lauderdale County, in far northwestern Alabama.

Their map showed the fire war burning near the Mulbuerry Fork Wildlife Management Area in northwestern Tuscaloosa County near the Walker County line.
The AFC said all three wildfires are 100 percent contained and will continue to monitor the areas.
"Our top priority is always protecting Alabama's forests and the people who depend on them," they said.
