
Jacksonville Man Killed in Saturday Single-Vehicle Crash in Tuscaloosa County
A Jacksonville man was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Jonathan D. Goodner, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene after the 2023 Ford Edge he was driving left the roadway and struck a sign, a ditch and a tree at approximately 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Senior Trooper Gregory Corble, a spokesperson for ALEA, said the wreck happened on Alabama 216 near the 20-mile marker, about five miles west of Brookwood. Goodner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to Corble.

Jacksonville, Alabama, is approximately two hours northeast of Tuscaloosa in Calhoun County.
Corble said troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
