Police are investigating a Friday night shooting at an apartment complex in Tuscaloosa.

Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, confirmed to the Thread that Tuscaloosa Police officers and VCU investigators are at the French Quarter Apartments on 8th Avenue behind Central High School.

Sellers said one person had been shot and said few details are yet available, but that police believe the victim will survive their wounds.

The shooting took place roughly around 7:30 p.m. Friday night.
