I Finally Tried Big Mike’s Steakhouse and Now I Get the Hype

Earlier this week, I was invited to eat at a place in West Alabama. I’ve heard a lot about it, but I’ve never been before I can now say I’ve tried it and this restaurant is truly one of the best in our region.

After being invited to Big Mike’s steakhouse, the first thing I thought about was getting me a great big steak. I’ve heard many times at the best steaks in West Alabama come from Big Mike’s steakhouse and this was my time to finally see if all the hype was real.

The atmosphere at Big Mike‘s steakhouse was amazing plenty of room, clean space and kind servers and greeters.

I originally ordered the ribeye but seen on the menu that the Big Mike's steakhouse specialty so I ordered that with the salad and French fries. The salad dressing was great.

It was Italian, but it wasn’t a traditional Italian dressing. Someone in our party ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, and I was upset that I didn’t order four more orders all to myself. The fried pickles were amazing.

The batter was perfectly crisp. It wasn’t soggy or flavorless and the pickles really were different. I couldn’t quite put my finger on if there were bread and butter, pickles, or a different kind of pickle, but it wasn’t your traditional pickle and that mix with the batter and their housemate ranch made for an amazing appetizer. I’d highly recommend them.

The state came and it was huge. I didn’t think I finish it. I ordered medium well even though the menu suggest not going past me I took my first bite and it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t a bad state as I got toward the center of the steak I understood exactly why they suggested ordering the medium steak.

It was amazing and I ate way more than I should have because I’ve stopped eating due to how flavorful and tender the steak was.

Shout out to my friends for recommending us to go to big Mike’s steakhouse and shout out to the Staff at Big Mike’s steakhouse. The food is amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try more.
