City of Tuscaloosa Opens Booth Registration for Tech or Treat

The City of Tuscaloosa is hosting its free ‘Tech-or-Treat’ event on Thursday, October 22, 2021. This free, fun event for all will take place at The Gateway, 2614 University Blvd East, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The ‘Tech-or-Treat’ event puts a fun, STEAM-inspired spin on the traditional “trunk-or-treat.” Instead of trick-or-treating from car trunks, children and families explore hands-on activities centered on STEAM: science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

City departments and local community organizations sponsor the STEAM activities and candy. Booth registration is now open for your organization to be part of the annual fun. Click here for more booth details. Trust me, you will want to be there because every year we have so much fun.

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa has been a proud participant in the annual event, and we always have a great time bringing a little radio magic to the festivities. Over the years, our radio technology activities have given kids the opportunity to learn how to DJ, experience what it’s like going live on the air, and even record alongside Stillman College journalism students.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be Tech-or-Treat without a little candy. I can’t promise that a few pieces won’t get sneaked off by our radio personalities.

It’s a chance to learn, create, explore, and have fun along the way, with plenty of candy treats waiting to sweeten the experience.
