
Tuscaloosa’s BookStock Brings Books, Crafts, and Parade
Books, fun, and community are coming together once again. The Literacy Council of West Alabama’s BookStock returns to Government Plaza in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
BookStock is a free event and is “open to the public, and will include free books for all, and information on LCWA programs.” Also, “visit the registration table upon arrival to receive a free lunch ticket to Heat Pizza Bar,” said the press release.

- Color your own book cover
- Little Library painting
- Wild Symphony character parade

This year’s BookStock will feature a lively parade at 12:30 p.m. for children in Kindergarten to 6th grade. It is inspired by Wild Symphony by Dan Brown, bringing Maestro Mouse to life as he leads audiences through meaningful life lessons paired with the vibrant sounds of the animal kingdom.
Kids are encouraged to wear costumes and bring their imagination. There will be “three prize winners with the best interpretation of the book receiving a $100 gift card to Shindig,” said the press release.
