2026 Black History Maker of Alabama –Pastor Woodson Long

Pastor Woodson Long is a dynamic prophetic voice and visionary leader making a powerful impact in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As the founder and pastor of Kingdom Experience Church (KEC), Pastor Long has built a ministry centered on advancing the Kingdom of God and empowering believers to walk boldly in their divine purpose.

In June 2020, during a season of uncertainty around the world, Pastor Long stepped out on faith and launched Kingdom Experience Church in his garage. What began as a small gathering of believers quickly grew into a thriving ministry fueled by vision, consistency, and spiritual hunger. By October 10, 2021, KEC relocated to the Northport Community Center to accommodate its growing congregation. Just two years later, the church moved into its current location at 375 Bear Creek Road in Tuscaloosa—a powerful testament to growth, resilience, and God’s faithfulness.

Black History Month is crucial as it allows us to recognize the contributions of our forefathers. We should not only continue to discuss their achievements but capitalize on the opportunities they struggled for to create a better future.- Pastor Woodson Long

Under Pastor Long’s leadership, Kingdom Experience Church now reaches more than 7,600 homes weekly through in-person services, social media engagement, and its online church platform. His ministry extends beyond the walls of the church, impacting families throughout West Alabama and beyond. Through initiatives such as Mentorship School, Monday Night Prayer, Thursday Night Empowerment, and dynamic Sunday worship experiences, Pastor Long focuses on equipping believers, strengthening faith, and cultivating spiritual maturity.

Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Long is a devoted husband to his wife, Catherine, and a proud father to Woodarius and Jaelin. His life reflects a deep commitment to faith, family, and community impact.

As a pastor who stepped out in faith and built a thriving ministry from the ground up, Pastor Woodson Long represents a new generation of visionary Black leaders in Alabama—leaders who are shaping history through courage, innovation, and unwavering belief in God’s purpose.
