On Tuesday, the SEC announced the 2024 SEC Legends class, including our very own Corey Miller for South Carolina! Miller will be recognized at the 2024 SEC Football “Weekend of Champions” on December 6-7 in Atlanta, Ga, highlighted by the annual SEC Legends Celebration on Friday, December 6 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. The group will also be recognized before the SEC Championship Game, which will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday, December 7.
Miller played college football at South Carolina, where he earned All-South Independent honors as a defensive end in both 1989 and 1990. During his career, he totaled 187 tackles with 15 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
He was selected the Carolina's outstanding defensive player in 1989 and was voted a team captain in 1990 as a senior.
Miller was a sixth-round pick in the 1991 NFL draft by the New York Giants, playing seven seasons in New York before spending his final season with the Minnesota Vikings in 1999. In his NFL career, he collected 253 tackles including 14 quarterback sacks, six forced fumbles, and seven interceptions. Miller was inducted into the South Carolina Lettermen’s Hall of Fame in 2022.
Congrats to the "Pastor of Pain" for being recognized as an SEC Legend!
