Bediako appealed Tuscaloosa Circuit Court Judge Daniel Pruet's denial of his preliminary injunction to the Alabama Supreme Court. Bediako was originally granted a temporary restraining order against the NCAA, allowing him to play in five games this season for head coach Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide. Bediako's hearing was held on Friday, February 6, before Alabama took on the Auburn Tigers in Neville Arena on Saturday. On Monday, February 9, Judge Pruet denied Bediako's request for a preliminary injunction, effectively making Bediako ineligible to play for the Crimson Tide.

Bediako's appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court came on Monday, when he also filed a request with Judge Pruet for interim injunctive relief while his appeal to the ASC was pending. That request was denied by Judge Pruet on Tuesday morning.

Bediako appeared in five games, making two starts this season for the Crimson Tide. Alabama went 3-2 during Bediako's brief return to the roster, but he has remained in class at Alabama and practices with the team. despite being unable to play in games.
