It's been a challenging season for the Alabama Crimson Tide, who currently reside No. 8 in the College Football Playoff Poll with a record of 9-2. The Crimson Tide anticipates an offseason full of changes both on the coaching staff and the player personnel side of things. According to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, Alabama running back Trey Sanders has entered the transfer portal.

Sanders, a former 5-star recruit came to Alabama as the No. 1 running-back in the 2019 recruiting class. He famously claimed he would come to Tuscaloosa and win a Heisman Trophy, however his career ran into several hurdles.

Sanders broke his foot in the preseason of 2019 and received a medical redshirt for the season. He unfortunately was involved in a car accident in 2020, cutting his season short and putting his career in jeopardy.

The Florida product played in a reserve role over the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He enters the transfer portal with 116 carries for 528 yards and three touchdowns, he also chipped in nine receptions for 66 yards in the passing game.
