If there is one thing Alabama fans can attest to, it is the ideology of never having too many good offensive linemen. The Crimson Tide had zero offensive line commits at the beginning of June, and now, they have three.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama has earned a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd.

Lloyd, standing at 6-foot-7, 290 pounds, plays for Carmel High School in Carmel, California. He's the third commitment for Alabama from the state of California. He's also the third commitment for Alabama this week.

According to composite, the four-star prospect is the No. 187 overall prospect in 2025, the No. 19 overall offensive tackle in 2025, and the No. 17 overall player in the state of California.

When watching Lloyd's Hudl tape, he seeks out contact at the point of attack in the run game. He's not afraid to drive the defensive lineman downfield to create running space for the ball carrier. He can struggle to shed his initial block and find a body downfield to hit at times. He does not have the quickest first step in pass protection. He also struggles to find people in space to block.

Lloyd's primary recruiter is his future position coach and current Alabama offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic. He received the first offer from Kalen DeBoer after DeBoer was hired at Alabama. The offer came three days after Alabama hired DeBoer and general manager Courtney Morgan.

Alabama's 2025 recruiting class currently looks like this:

  • Keelon Russell - 4-star QB
  • Chuck McDonald III - 4-star CB
  • Michael Carroll - 4-star OL
  • Darrell Johnson - 4-star LB
  • Derick Smith - 4-star S
  • Antonio Coleman - 4-star DL
  • Anthony Rogers - 4-star RB
  • Jaedon Harmon - 4-star LB
  • Myles Johnson - 4-star LB
  • Jackson Lloyd - 4-star OT
  • Mal Waldrep - 3-star OL
  • Zymear Smith - 3-star ATH
  • Abduall Sanders Jr. - 3-star LB
  • Lotzier Brooks - 3-star WR
  • Luke Metz - 3-star LB
  • London Simmons - 3-star DL
  • Alex Asparuhov - Punter
