The NFL draft is finally here. The culmination of college football is when the players, who have spent years working towards their dream, finally see it become a reality. That is exactly what will happen on Thursday through Saturday, as 257 prospects will hear their names called at the podium and get to live out their NFL dream.

The draft is the one event every year that brings together the worlds of college football and the NFL. Analysts cross over, college coaches talk to NFL coaches and general managers, and college football stars who dominated at their level are now new in NFL locker rooms and once again have to prove themselves.

This year's NFL draft will look a bit different from the Alabama perspective. Nick Saban retired in January, and shortly after, it was announced that he would take a job with ESPN and College Gameday as a college football analyst. His first event will be Thursday's NFL draft. Saban will have players who were calling him "Coach" just three and a half months ago in the draft, and he'll be talking about them as an analyst now.

While Kalen DeBoer is the new head coach of the Crimson Tide, this year's coalition of draftable prospects will still count towards Coach Saban in the record books, meaning Saban will add likely three, potentially four, more players to his already impressive list of NFL first-round draft picks.

The first round starts on Thursday night, with rounds two and three taking place on Friday night, and rounds four through seven happening on Saturday afternoon. The previously mentioned 257 players will hear their names called over the three days, and even more, will be signed as undrafted free agents with a chance to make practice squads and camp rosters.

Here are the players hoping to hear their names during this weekend's NFL draft.
