It’s a little cheaper to go to the beach this summer

It’ll cost a little less to go to Orange Beach.  Now through Labor Day when you take the Foley Bridge Express Bridge you’ll pay a little less.  The one-way toll was lowered from $3.50 to $2.75 and the summer rate for Orange Beach residents with an electronic account will be set at $1, or $1.25 if residents pay with cash.  After Labor Day, the company that owns the toll bridge will undertake a $5 million project to create another lane through the existing toll plaza, and install an all-electronic tolling system that the company believes will keep traffic flowing during peak periods
