Is There a Looming Severe Weather Threat in Alabama Next Week?
As we enter the months of more heightened severe weather, The Townsquare Media Weather Center is tracking the possibility of severe weather next week.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a 15-29% probability of severe weather for a good portion of Mississippi for Tuesday, March 4. The risk is situated near the state line in the west-central section. Currently, no risks have been issued to Alabama.

James Spann, ABC 33/40 and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said, “But it could easily be added in coming days. With strong wind fields and a surge of unstable air, strong to severe storms are very possible.”
For now, we will continue to monitor the developments to our west and provide updates as needed.
