Is the Alabama Heat Taking a Vacation This Week?
The summer of 2024 will be remembered as brutal across the southern region. There were many days of scorching temperatures and alarming heat indices.
Will Alabama Experience Some Relief from the Heat This Week?
This week, Alabamians might enjoy the “brief” cool-down. Please don’t get too excited. This is not the “Fall” starting up or even a “Fake Fall” season; it’s what I like to call a “Fall Sneak Peek.”
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said, “A highly amplified upper air pattern over the U.S. will help to push much drier air into the Deep South today.”
What Does That Mean for Alabamians?
“This means dry weather for most of the week with lower humidity and cooler nights,” said Spann. “For the northern third of the state, highs will be in the mid to upper 80s through the week, with lows well down in the 60s.”
