Is it Spring or Summer in Alabama? Temperature Preview Guide
The calendar says spring, but the temperatures disagree.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist call this timeframe a “SUMMER PREVIEW.”

“Alabama's weather will feel more like June as we are forecasting highs in the upper 80s for most places through Saturday,” said Spann. “A few communities could reach the 90-degree mark for the first time this year.”
Now, after this sneak peek of summer, temperatures will drop drastically, and there are even hints of a late-season frost or freeze.
Mother’s Advice
As my mother, Bea, always said, "Never plant a thing until after Easter.'"
The Townsquare Media Weather Center will monitor the temperatures to see if any of our counties break any records.
