There's a new way to get groceries and other items delivered to your door!  Instacart launched in Tuscaloosa last week, delivering from retailers like Publix, CVS, Petco and over 160 nationwide.

In the Tuscaloosa area Instacart is available in Woodland Forest, Alpine Hills, Hall, Woodland Pines, Holt, Northport, Samantha, Windham Springs, Cottondale, Northport, Wood Estates, Wood Villas and Wood Ridge.

According to AL.com , delivery fees vary based on order size. It charges $5.99 for orders of $35 or more, and orders smaller than that $7.99. There's also a membership option, the cost of which ranges from $99 to $149 annually depending on location, and then all deliveries over $35 are free. Instacart says most of the items are not marked up, but some are, and when they are it's stated on the app. Tipping is encouraged but not required.
