I have no illusions that every defective nut will be removed before packaging but you always hope you never get a worm. I did a little research and found these little fellas are called navel orangeworms. Yikes. I guess they are harmless. They just may taste weird. No doubt, I have eaten hundreds over the years with no side effects but seeing one up close kinda gives me the willies.
