Hot Hundred Bike Race Coming to Tuscaloosa This Weekend
The South's hottest bicycle ride is coming to T-Town this weekend! It's the Hot Hundred, and the fun begins on the campus of the University of Alabama Saturday.
The Hot Hundred is hosted by the Tuscaloosa Mental Health Alliance and the Druid City Bicycle Club. 300 to 400 cyclists will take part in this year's event--a course that spans 103 miles!
It's not too late to register for the Hot Hundred. They'll be on-site at Tuscaloosa's Fresh Market from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today (July 27, 2017) and at Trek in Midtown tomorrow (Friday, July 28) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. They'll also host on-site registration beginning at 6 a.m. on the day of the ride (Saturday, July 29) at the UA Pool Complex.
The community is invited to cheer on this year's Hot Hundred participants which include riders from across the USA as well as representatives from the Wounded Warrior Project.
This morning, Tuscaloosa Mental Health Alliance Board Director Joseph Abrams stopped by The Steve Shannon Morning Show this morning to promote the race. We had a great time meeting him and talking about the Hot Hundred.
