Hey Alabama, It’s Spring Forward O’Clock
It’s that time again, Alabama. Ready or not, daylight saving time is upon us! This Sunday, March 9, we’ll “spring” forward as clocks leap ahead one hour. That means 2 a.m. will magically become 3 a.m.

Love it or hate it, this yearly ritual promises longer, lighter evenings ahead. Whether you see it as losing an hour of sleep or gaining more evening sunshine, it’s a sure sign that spring is just around the corner.
Most electronic devices automatically spring you forward. But don’t forget to set those clocks ahead that need to be done manually. The car clock gets me every time.
Most of our electronic devices and gadgets have us covered, automatically jumping ahead for daylight saving time.
But don’t forget those sneaky clocks that still need a little help! Think of the oven, the microwave, or—everyone’s favorite culprit—the car clock. If you’re like me, that one always manages to get me every time.
Take a moment on Saturday night to set them all ahead so you’re ready to roll into Sunday without a hitch!
Give yourself some grace for early next week while you adjust to the time change. “More than half (55%) of those surveyed said they feel extremely or somewhat tired after the spring forward to daylight saving time,” said the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
