Alabama residents should exercise caution this weekend and into next week due to the impacts of hot and humid conditions.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Heat Advisory for today, Saturday, 21, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Heat Index Values up to 105 °F Expected

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses. Even if your West Alabama county is not under the heat advisory, still pay close attention to conditions.

For example, Bibb, Perry, and Walker counties are not under the advisory, but those counties are expected to reach concerning heat index values as well.
