It's a little late to be planting a garden. I guess house plants could use some love too. Am I the only one who didn't know Starbucks gave away coffee grounds to use in your garden?I don't go to Starbucks that often so I guess it's been easy to miss. Earlier this week I saw this basket with a nice chalk sign offering free coffee grounds.

The sign says coffee grounds are a natural additive for your soil. According to GardeningKnowHow.com, they are right:

The benefit of using coffee grounds as a fertilizer is that it adds organic material to the soil, which improves drainage, water retention and aeration in the soil. The used coffee grounds will also help microorganisms beneficial to plant growth thrive as well as attract earthworms.

Stop by and gran a bag...if any is left.
