
Google VP to Speak at Stillman College Commencement
Stillman College has announced that Melonie D. Parker, Google’s vice president of Employee Engagement, will serve as the keynote speaker for its 2025 Commencement Ceremony. The event is set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Stillman Stadium.
More than 100 graduates will participate, joined by members of the Class of 1975 celebrating their 50-year Golden Class reunion.
Parker, a first-generation college graduate from an HBCU, brings over 30 years of experience in aligning talent strategies with business goals. She is known for championing inclusive workplace cultures and has been a strong advocate for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
“Her journey and passion for inclusion will undoubtedly inspire our students,” said Stillman College President Dr. Yolanda W. Page.

Parker’s career includes leadership roles at Sandia National Laboratories and Lockheed Martin. She currently supports HBCUs through Google’s $1.5 million partnership with Stillman, benefiting the college’s cybersecurity initiatives.
Her accolades include honors from The Root, AfroTech, Rolling Out, and the Women of Color STEM Awards, among others. Parker also serves on boards such as the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Hampton University’s Board of Trustees.
