Gas Leak in McCalla, Public Not in Danger

The McCalla Fire Department was called to a high pressure gas leak today on Kimbrell Cutoff Rd.  Spire Inc is on site repairing the leak.

According to WBRC, they have turned off the gas and say there is no danger to the public.

No evacuations were necessary although authorities ask the public to avoid the area until further notice.
