Former Alabama Linebacker Set to Join UAB Blazers By Way of Transfer Portal
Former Alabama linebacker Jackson Bratton is set to transfer to UAB according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports. Bratton a former 4-star recruit in the 2020 class out of Muscle Shoals High School entered the transfer portal in November after the conclusion of the regular season.
Bratton did not appeared in any games for the Crimson Tide in his two seasons of college football. The linebacker was considered the No. 5 player in the state of Alabama and the No. 10 inside backer in the class of 2020.
The Alabama linebacker room could look vastly different in 2022 with NFL decisions to come for both Christian Harris and Henry To'o To'o as well as the likely departure of senior Jaylen Moody.
Alabama will welcome Shawn Murphey as an incoming freshman in 2022, he is considered the No. 2 inside backer in the senior class.
The UAB Blazers finished 9-4 in 2021 and won the Independence Bowl over No. 13 BYU to cap off a successful season. The Blazers are losing 2021's leading tackler, inside linebacker Noah Wilder .
Bratton will join up with former high school teammate and current Blazers tight end Terrell McDonald.
