Former Alabama linebacker Brandon "Ale" Kaho is headed to Westwood. Kaho announced his transfer to UCLA via twitter. He had originally committed to Utah on Feb. 25th, but ultimately went in a different direction.

The Reno, Nevada native came to Alabama as a four-star prospect in the 2018 recruiting class. He was rated as the No. 2 inside linebacker and No. 32 overall prospect according to 247Sports.

As a freshman, Kaho contributed mainly on special teams, accounting for 11 tackles and one fumble recovery on the season. He would earn special teams player of the week by the coaches in games against LSU and Mississippi State. In 2019, he blocked three punts and recovered one for a touchdown. The coaches named him special teams player of the week in games against South Carolina, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Tennessee. Defensively, Kaho added 20 tackles and one for loss.

Last season, Kaho continued to shine on special teams and rotated in at linebacker. He was named special teams player of the week by the coaches in games against Kentucky and LSU.

In three seasons with the Tide, Kaho tallied 32 tackles and scored one touchdown. Kaho will be able to repeat his junior year at UCLA and still have two years of eligibility remaining.
