Weekend Severe Weather Outlook

The intensity of those weekday isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms shifts into a more active pattern starting on Saturday, and there could be the potential for this weather pattern to continue into Sunday as well.

Risk Levels

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 2 out of 5 risk for severe storms for Saturday, June 7.

This includes the Townsquare Media Coverage area that includes Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Walker counties.

The current outlook for the timing of the storms for Saturday is allocated to the afternoon and evening windows.

Threats

“Damaging winds up to 60 mph” are the potential threats, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
