Everything You Need to Know About Lemonade Day 2018 in Tuscaloosa on April 21
Lemonade Day is a nationwide program designed to take kids from a dream to a business plan while teaching them the same principles required to start a company by giving them the tools to start, own, and operate their very own business – a lemonade stand!
The event is free for children of all ages and everyone that registers will receive a backpack and workbook to help them get your lemonade stand going, but supplies are limited so sign up early. All the money you earn on Lemonade Day is yours to keep. Collect the profits, keep them or donate them to their favorite charity.
Pick up your backpack and workbook anytime at Shelton State Community College at the Media & Communication Center Room 3638 or the Townsquare Media offices. There will also be a pickup party on April 10 at Chick-fil-a.
Also, kids can submit their business plan after Lemonade Day and all who enter their business plan have a chance to win a brand new bike. The best business plan wins a trip to Lemonade Day HQ in Houston Texas for a chance to win the national prize of a family four trip to a national theme park.
Once you register and have secured a place for your stand, go online to lemonadeday.org/Tuscaloosa, scroll down to the map, and place your stand on the map to Brand Your Stand. You can also create a page on Facebook, Twitter or Snapchat, or any other form of promotion you want to get the word out about your stand!
