Lots going on with COVID-19 pandemic from the heated mask debate to the upcoming school year.  I don’t know if you are like me, but I am O V E R I T!  I am practicing social distancing, recommended hygiene practices, wearing my face covering, staying home as much as I can, and making smart decisions.  But, I really feel like there is a sector of people that are just opposite because they are being told what to do.  [Rolls my eyes really hard]  So, I did some digging and found a list by Wallet Hub of “States with the fewest COVID-19 Restrictions.”  Here are the top ten: “1) South Dakota 2) Wisconsin 3) Oklahoma 4) Utah 5) Iowa 6) Idaho 7) Wyoming 8) South Carolina 9) Arkansas and 10) North Dakota.”  Believe it or not, Alabama came in at #15 on the states with the least restrictions.  The methodology they used to conjure up this list is pretty impressive.  Wallet Hub used a weighted average that considers the following: “requirement to wear a face mask in public, travel restrictions, large gathering restrictions, statewide school restart, reopening of restaurants and bars, state guidance on customer health checks and restaurants” and many other highlighted concerns.

I know we are all aggravated by everything going on in 2020.  I want to encourage each of us to stay positive, try our best to stay healthy, and let’s hope for an enormous rebound after we are past the COVID-19 pandemic.  All I know is I should have planned by December Birthday trip by now to Hawaii, Aruba, Cayman Islands, or St. Thomas.  Now, it looks like that is going to be postponed until 2021.
